Las Vegas, NV : Motorcyclist killed in crash on Flamingo Road on Tuesday morning, March 21, 2017

A motorcyclist is dead and a motorist suffered serious injuries in an east valley crash this evening, according to Metro Police.

Officers and medical crews were called about 5 p.m. to Flamingo Road and Eucalyptus Avenue, near Eastern Avenue, police said.

The motorcyclist, a man in his late 20s or early 30s, was killed and a motorist was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in serious condition, Lt. Steve Summers said.

Roads in the area were shut down and not expected to reopen for a couple of hours, Summers said about 6:15 p.m.
