LOUISVILLE, KY : Name released of pedestrian killed after being hit by vehicle on I-64 East at I-65 on Thursday, 14th March 2024

The name has been released of the pedestrian who was killed after being hit by a vehicle on I-64 East at I-65.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 31-year-old Daniel A. Metheny-Rodriguez, Jr. He died on Thursday at 8:20 a.m. from multiple blunt force trauma sustained in the accident.

Metheny-Rodriguez died before he could be taken to a hospital and the driver stayed where the crash occurred to cooperate with Louisville Metro police officers.

The interstate crash happened shortly after Louisville Metro police received a call about a pedestrian hit on the Clark Memorial Bridge. That victim was a woman who also was killed at the scene.
