Sturbridge's police chief was seriously injured in a weekend motorcycle crash but his injuries are not considered life threatening.
Chief Thomas Ford III suffered a concussion and head trauma when his motorcycle crashed on Route 197 in Dudley at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
The 50-year-old Ford was admitted to UMass Memorial Medical Center.
No other vehicles were involved.
The cause remains under investigation.
