A crash in Pueblo West involving a Honda Odyssey van and a motorcycle Friday afternoon resulted in the motorcyclist sustaining serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Around 12:30 p.m. a 16-year-old female traveling west on West Carrizo Springs Avenue stopped at a stop sign and proceeded into the intersection at South McCulloch Boulevard when a 56-year-old male riding on a motorcycle north on South McCulloch crashed into the driver’s side of the Honda, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office.
The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Honda was treated for minor injuries on scene.
The Honda driver was cited with failing to yield the right of way, according to the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office is reminding citizens to be cognizant of motorcyclists, especially as the weather warms up and more are out on the road.
