Packwaukee, WI : 74-year-old Montello man killed after Car flies over creek in Marquette County on Saturday, February 20, 2016

A 74-year-old Montello man was killed when his car went airborne over a creek and crashed, according to a release from the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office.

Witnesses told deputies that they saw the car going south on Seventh Court in the town of Packwaukee at 10 a.m. Saturday. They said the car struck a large snowbank at the end of the road, went airborne and crashed on the other side of a creek.

William Carlile was the only person in the car.

The Wisconsin State Patrol, Montello Fire and Rescue, and the Marquette County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.
