Greenfield, MA : One person injured after a two-car collision on Route 2 in Erving Sunday, August 14, 2016
A two-car collision on Route 2 near River Road caused a passenger to be transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield with minor injuries Sunday.
Erving Fire Chief Philip Wonkka said the operator of a green Chevrolet Blazer rear-ended a Ford Escape, whose driver he believes slowed more abruptly than the second driver had anticipated. Both vehicles had been traveling east on Route 2 in the mid afternoon.
A female passenger in the Blazer was transported to the hospital by Orange EMS. The vehicle was towed.
No further information was available about the drivers’ or passengers’ identities or the female passenger’s condition.
