Williams County, OH : Defiance man dies in crash on Friday, 7th February, 2020
State police in Ohio are investigating a Friday night fatal crash involving a 33-year-old Defiance man.
Officers said Phillip Powell was driving a Hyundai Elantra west on U.S. 6 in Williams County when the vehicle hit a Chevrolet Trailblazer heading east about 9:30 p.m.
Powell was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release.
Roger Bostelman, 78, of Hamler was driving the SUV with two passengers and they all were taken to hospitals with serious injuries, police said.
Bostelman had to be flown by helicopter to a Fort Wayne hospital. His passengers – Shirley Bostelman, 75, also of Hamler and Brooke Bostelman, 15, of Deshler – were taken to a Bryan hospital by ambulance.
