Milwaukee, WI : Woman killed in Milwaukee car crash on Saturday, October 8, 2016

A woman was killed in a car crash around midnight Saturday in Milwaukee, police said.

The woman, who was in her late 20s, was thrown from her car after she ran a stop sign near 51st Boulevard and Auer Avenue and crashed into another car, police said.

The car then hit a light pole, which fell and hit the woman. She died at the scene.

The woman’s name was not released.

The passengers in the car ran from the scene, police said.

The driver of the other car had minor injuries.
