The driver of a school bus, and five children on board were hurt Wednesday, when another vehicle collided with the bus.
The accident happened at about 4:30, on State Road 22/3, at the intersection of Middleboro Road, according to Lt. Matthew Hamilton of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Traveling westbound was the school bus, driven by 53-year-old Carla Eskridge, and a 2011 Honda Ridgeline, driven by 56-year-old Mark Brashear.
The school bus was stopped at the intersection, waiting to make a left turn. Brashear failed to stop his Honda truck, and ran into the back of the bus, Hamilton said.
Eskridge was taken to Arrow Springs Hospital, and Brashear was flown to Miami Valley Medical Center. No word on their injuries was immediately released. They were wearing seatbelts.
Seventeen children were on board the bus at the time of the crash. Five were hurt, but no injuries were serious, Hamilton said.
