Ponte Vedra Beach , FL : 24-year-old man was dead in a single-vehicle crash on early Friday morning September 19th 2014

A 24-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Ponte Vedra Beach early Friday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. State troopers said Jason Shank was driving on State Road A1A, about two miles south of Mickler Road near Old Ponte Vedra Drive, at about 3:30 a.m. when his Toyota 4Runner went partially off the roadway and onto the west shoulder. Troopers said Shank's car re-entered the roadway and overturned several times. Shank was thrown from the SUV and died at the scene. Troopers said he was not wearing a seat belt.
