Woodland,CA : Six-car crash injures two in Davis on October, Wednesday 25th 2017
A Wednesday collision among six cars sent two men to the hospital with severe injuries.
Woodland’s CHP branch responded to a collision on eastbound I-80 around 2:54 p.m., just west of Mace Boulevard. Officers found six vehicles involved, backing up both lanes of traffic.
The CHP report of the collision stated that the crash occurred when a silver Buick rear-ended a car, causing several more collisions in traffic.
The driver of the Buick, Peter Carlino, 41, of Roseville was unable to come to a stop when traffic came to a halt before him. As a result, he collided with Eric Ringseth, age 76 of Vallejo. Ringseth’s grey Ford then collided with others, causing a domino effect.
Carlino sustained major injuries, and Ringseth also had minor injuries. Both where taken to UC Davis Medical Center for care. Another, Travis Stidger, 35 of Citrus Heights had a minor injury but was not transported.
None of the other three parties were injured, the CHP report states that no drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
