Two lanes of Interstate 271 have reopened after one person died in a fiery crash Tuesday morning involving a pair of semis that collided on I-271 South near Wilson Mills Road.
The northbound express lanes and the southbound local lanes, along with the I-90 east and westbound ramps to I-271S, are now open.
Motorists are still being diverted from the I-271S express lanes between the Lake County line and Cedar-Brainard Road, which remain closed.
Police say both semi trucks were fully engulfed in flames after the crash, which happened around 9:20 a.m.
The victim's name has not been released.
It's unknown what contents the trucks were carrying.
Smoke could be seen billowing in the sky for miles.
Viewer video from the scene of the accident shows crews working to extinguish the blaze.
