A New York City teen has been charged in the theft of a vehicle that overturned Saturday on the New Jersey Turnpike.
Steven Fermin, 18, was charged with possession of stolen property and resisting arrest, New Jersey State Police Sgt. 1st Class Gregory Williams said.
Fermin was the passenger in a 2006 Buick that had been reported stolen from the parking lot of Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, Williams said. Police chased the vehicle until it crashed in the northern lanes of the Turnpike.
