Pacifica, CA : One person killed after he lost control of his car while driving at Highway 1 onTuesday, April 26th, 2016

A man in his 20s was killed early Tuesday morning after he lost control of his car while driving on Highway 1 near Devil's Slide, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The man was driving a Honda Accord north on Highway 1 when he lost control of the car just before 3:30 a.m. and crashed into a rock embankment, according to CHP Officer Vu Williams. The man was ejected from the Honda and suffered fatal

injuries.

The CHP is still investigating what caused the man to lose control of the car. The driver's identity will be released by the San Mateo County Coroner's Office once his family is notified.

Lanes in both directions of Highway 1 were closed for about three hours.
