A 45-year-old Donegal woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash along Route 51 in Rostraver Township Thursday afternoon.

Lenora L. Maiolo was driving north on Route 51 with a passenger in the vehicle shortly after 4 p.m., according to the Westmoreland County Coroner's Office.

She drove off the left side of the road, then turned back onto the road, hitting the rear of another vehicle and flipping her GMC Envoy, according to the coroner's office.

Maiolo was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators don't know why Maiolo lost control of the vehicle, but speed is believed to be a factor. Investigators do not believe cell phone use played a role in the crash, according to the coroner's office.

An autopsy will be performed by Dr. Cyril H. Wecht and Pathology Associates on Friday.

Information about the condition of Maiolo's passenger and the occupants of the second vehicle was not immediately available.

Rostraver Township Police and the Pennsylvania State Police Belle Vernon Barracks also investigated.
