MONROE CITY, MO : Woman in serious condition following crash on U.S. 36 on Sunday, 22nd March, 2020

A 21-year-old woman was in serious in condition following a Sunday crash on U.S. 36 near Monroe City.

Mary G. Arnold of Monroe City was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital by ambulance after she lost control of her 2006 Toyota Avalon on an ice-covered roadway. She struck the trailer of a stationary 2018 Freightliner truck while traveling eastbound.

The accident occurred at 11 a.m.

Assisting at the scene were the Monroe City Fire Department and Monroe City Police Department.
