Floyd, VA : 1 cited, 1 sent to hospital after Floyd crash on Sunday, 25th May 2019
A Barneveld woman was cited in a two-vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon in Floyd that sent a teen to the hospital.
Taylor Gonyea, 28, was backing her Mazda SUV out of driveway to drive north on State Route 365 when her vehicle was struck by a Ford pickup driven by Nathan Draper, 18, of Prospect, according to sheriff’s deputies. Draper complained of head pain and was transported via AmCare Ambulance to the St. Luke’s Campus of the Mohawk Valley Health System for further evaluation, deputies said.
Gonyea was cited for failing to yield the right of way and will appear in Floyd Town Court at a later date and time, deputies said.
Deputies were assisted by the New York State Police and the Floyd Fire Department.
