Motorcyclist killed in Interstate 15 wreck identified

Medical examiners released Tuesday the name of a motorcyclist who died after hitting one of two vehicles involved in a wreck on Interstate 15.The Clark County Coroner's office said John William Shonts III, 34, died from multiple blunt force injuries as a result of an accident.
According to Nevada Highway Patrol, two vehicles crashed and struck the center median of southbound I-15 south of Sahara Avenue early Sunday morning.Immediately after the crash, Shonts' motorcycle struck a Chevy Tahoe involved in the wreck. NHP said the motorcyclist died at the scene. A passenger on the bike was rushed to University Medical Center in critical condition.The drivers of the other vehicles in the wreck were not injured.
