GARDEN CITY, KS : Three people were injured when a car entering U.S. 83 from U.S. 50 in Garden City on Tuesday, November, 14th 2017
Three people were injured Tuesday when a car entering U.S. 83 from U.S. 50 in Garden City failed to yield, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported.
The crash occurred at 10:11 a.m. on southbound Business U.S. 83.
Samuel Hernandez-Martinez, 60, of Garden City, was traveling eastbound in 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe when he failed to yield at the stop sign on the off-ramp of U.S. 50 and was struck by a 2017 Ford Explorer.
Hernandez-Martinez and a passenger in his vehicle, Andrea Ramirez Pena, 19, of Garden City, both suffered possible injury and were transported by ambulance to St. Catherine’s Hospital.
The driver of Explorer, Zachary Lee Anderson, 32, of Goodland, was not injured. However, a passenger in the Explorer, Nicole Marie Anderson, 37, of Goodland, was injured and was also taken to St. Catherine’s.
All four people involved in the crash were wearing seat belts, the report stated.
