CRESCENT CITY, FL : 71-year-old crossing highway in golf cart hit, killed in crash with SUV on Wednesday, 25th October 2023

A 71-year-old Crescent City man was killed Wednesday afternoon when the golf cart he was in was struck by an SUV as he was crossing U.S. 17 at Euclid Avenue in Putnam County, troopers said.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, just before 3 p.m. the man in the golf cart began crossing US 17 from Euclid Avenue, which was controlled by a stop sign, and drove into the path of the SUV, which was headed northbound on US 17.
