Mooresburg, TN : Four students injured after school bus rear-ended by a pickup truck on Hwy. 11W in Hawkins County on Monday, Sep 14, 2015
Four students were taken to the hospital after their school bus was rear-ended by a pickup truck.
According to Steve Starnes, Hawkins County Director of Schools, 22 kids from Mooresburg Elementary, Rogersville Middle, and Cherokee High were on their way home from school. The accident happened on Hwy. 11W at Galbraith Springs Road in Mooresburg at 3:15.
Starnes said the bus was stopped, with the lights on and the stop sign extended, when the truck hit it.
All of the kids had non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the truck was also taken to the hospital.
Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
