PLEASANTON, CA : 2 dead, 6 injured after crash on I-680 in Pleasanton on Monday, 18th December 2023

Three people were killed and five injured Monday afternoon when their minivan veered off the highway in Pleasanton and possibly hit a tree, California Highway Patrol said.

The call first came into CHP around 2:30 p.m. regarding a collision on Interstate Highway 680 south near the Sunol Boulevard offramp.

According to CHP, a Honda Pilot went off the roadway and into a ditch, possibly hitting a tree. Alameda County Fire said the minivan went about 20 feet down the embankment. The minivan contained six adults and two children.
