REPUBLIC, MO : Man from Springfield died in crash near Republic on April, Friday 7th 2017

A 53-year-old man from Springfield died on Friday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash near Republic High School. Gregory Creech died at the scene after being thrown from the wreckage in the T-bone crash.

The crash happened on Highway ZZ at Farm Road 182 shortly before 5:00. The Missouri State Highway Patrol's online report says a westbound car driven by Mable Brock, 84, of Monett pulled into the path of a northbound pickup driven by Creech. The pickup hit the car and went off the left side of the highway.

Brock has serious injuries. An air ambulance took her to a hospital in Springfield.

The report says Brock was wearing a seat belt but Creech was not.
