Los Angeles ,CA : Nine people hospitalized after minor two-car crash on Monday ,June 15 2015

Nine people riding in a special needs transport van have been hospitalized for evaluation after a minor two-car crash.

The Los Angeles Fire Department reports the van and another vehicle crashed in the Northridge area of Los Angeles shortly after 3 p.m. Monday.

LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart says nine passengers in the van were transported to a local hospital as a precaution. Responders were not able to fully assess the condition of eight of the passengers but all are believed to have minor injuries.

The passengers are all adults ranging in age from 40 to 70.
