BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC : 5 killed in deadly head-on collision in Beaufort County on Wednesday, 29h May 2024

Five people were killed in a car crash in Beaufort County Wednesday night.According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP), three vehicles were involved in the deadly collision.

A BMW Sedan with a driver and three passengers was traveling south on Sea Island Parkway at around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Polowana Road, just east of Beaufort. The BMW Sedan attempted to pass a Toyota Tundra and struck a Honda Accord traveling north on Sea Island Parkway head-on.

The BMW Sedan ran off the right side of the road, overturned and caught on fire. All four occupants inside the BMW Sedan died at the scene. SCHP said the driver of the Honda Accord was the only person inside the vehicle and also died at the scene.
