Jeffersonville, IN : Young mother killed, another injured in single-vehicle crash on Interstate 265 in Jeffersonville on Sunday, February 15, 2015
Police say an 18-year-old mother was killed in rollover crash which also hospitalized her boyfriend and their 11-month daughter.
Indiana State Police say Taylor N. Johnson was killed in the crash around 3 p.m. Sunday. Her boyfriend, 19-year-old Austin W. Porter, was driving their SUV east on Interstate 265 near the seven mile marker in Indiana when the vehicle left the road for an unknown reason, rolling over as many as three times.
Both Johnson and Porter were thrown from the vehicle during the crash. Johnson was pronounced dead on the scene. Porter was flown to University of Louisville Hospital in critical condition.
An 11-month-old was found securely strapped into her car seat in the rear of the vehicle. She was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville. State police say her condition is stable.
The Jeffersonville Police Department, Jeffersonville Fire Department and Clark County Sheriff's Department assisted state police at the scene.
