Authorities say a 77-year-old woman has died from injuries she suffered in a two-car crash in central New York.
State police say 86-year-old Cedric Hall was driving on County Route 9 Tuesday evening in the Oswego County town of Volney and failed to yield to a pickup truck at an intersection. The pickup truck then slammed into the car.
Firefighters had to remove Hall's passenger, Judith Hall, from the vehicle. Both were taken to a Syracuse hospital.
Authorities say she was initially listed in critical condition but later died.
Cedric Hall has been cited for not yielding the right of way at a stop sign.
The driver of the pickup was evaluated at the scene and declined treatment.
Troopers say their investigation is continuing.
