Claymont, DE : Serious crash closes Governor Printz Boulevard in Claymont on Thursday, 23rd January, 2020

A 55-year-old Whitehall, Maryland man died Thursday morning after crashing his tractor-trailer on Governor Printz Boulevard (U.S. 13) in Claymont.

Delaware State Police are investigating the cause of the wreck, which occurred at about 8:30 a.m. near Fairfield Road. The man was driving a Baltimore Pile Driving & Marine Construction Inc. truck.

According to state police, the man was driving north on U.S. 13 when he crossed the center median and drove into the southbound lanes. He then veered off the road, hitting a utility pole and a fence before stopping.
