NORFOLK, NE : High-speed rollover crash near Norfolk kills two teens on Sunday, March 5th 2017
A high-speed, one-vehicle rollover near Norfolk took the lives of two teens and injured two others Sunday.
Emergency crews were called an area south of the South Airport Road intersection on Highway 81 just after midnight for the accident.
Maddison County officials said the four teens were not wearing seat belts at the time of the rollover. All four were ejected.
Eighteen-year-old Dasavor Rodrigues and 17-year-old Shawn Falk were pronounced deceased on the scene.
Life Flight took 18-year-old Schauntel Niehoff to a nearby hospital. Dru McMahon was transported by Norfolk Fire & Rescue from the scene.
Investigators said there was also no indication of any illegal alcohol or drug use at this time.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident with assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol, Norfolk Fire & Rescue, and Norfolk Police Department.
