TAUNTON, MA : Broadway traffic crashes in Taunton and Raynham continue to mount on Monday, 27th January, 2020

There have been two crashes in less than three days on the same stretch of Broadway/Route 138.

The most recent accident happened Monday morning just before 9:30 a.m., according to police and witnesses.

A woman driving a four-door sedan was transported to Rhode Island Hospital — after reportedly being hit by an 18-wheel tractor-trailer when she made a right-hand turn onto Route 138 from Jackson Street.

The earlier crash took place shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday and involved a city man test driving a used car.

In that incident, Keith Moulaison of Taunton, according to police, said he lost control of a 2013 Nissan belonging to the Prestige Auto Mart, while driving north on Route 138 back to the dealership — which is located on the north side of the intersection of Jackson Street and Broadway.

Moulaison, 36, told police the gas pedal became stuck, which caused him to swerve into the southbound, oncoming lane.
