Bethany man dies in Hillsboro crash near Alabama

A Thursday morning crash involving a pick-up truck and motorcycle in Hillsboro killed a 60-year-old Bethany man, according to police.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Northeast Brookwood Parkway and Cornell Road about 7:20 a.m. Thursday.

Hillsboro police said a white 2003 Chevrolet truck was turning left from northbound Brookwood Parkway onto westbound Cornell Road at a flashing yellow signal when a southbound 2006 Buell motorcycle proceeded through the intersection.
The truck struck the motorcycle in the intersection, and the motorcycle operator died at the scene, police said.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash, but police said it appears the 51-year-old Aloha woman who was driving the truck did not see the motorcycle. The driver of the truck was not injured.Police are not identifying the deceased or the truck driver pending notifications. The motorcyclist reportedly was wearing a helmet and protective gear at the time of the crash.
