Knoxville, TN : One person killed, three injured in a car crash in West Knox County on Saturday night, February 28, 2015
One person is killed, and three others are injured, following a two car crash Saturday night.
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, a black Porsche was driving northbound on Campbell Station road just before 6:00 p.m. when the driver lost control while exiting a curve.
The Porsche then hit a white Honda Accord traveling southbound.
Deputies say the driver of the Porsche, Juan Benn, Sr., 56, was pronounced dead on the scene.
Benn’s passenger, Juan Benn, Jr., 13, was taken to UT Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
The Honda Accord’s driver, Carrie Ann Ward, 30, and the passenger, Casey Cooper, 29, of Caryville, were taken by Rural/Metro to Parkwest Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Deputies say Benn, Sr., was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, but the three injured victims were.
Deputies also suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash.
