Anderson County ,SC : 25-year-old from Starr killed after The car burst into flames after hitting the tree on Tuesday afternoon, November 25th 2014
A 25-year-old from Starr was talking to his father Tuesday when the phone went dead.
The phone connection was lost when Joshua Allen Eadie, the son, was involved in a wreck that killed him, said Josh Shore, deputy Anderson County coroner.
Eadie was driving home from a friend’s house around 3:15 a.m. Tuesday when his car went off the side of S.C. 252 and down an embankment after hitting a tree, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The car burst into flames after hitting the tree, said Lance Cpl. Tony Keller of the state patrol. Eadie was trapped in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Shore said a limited autopsy Tuesday afternoon showed Eadie had been drinking.
“His blood-alcohol level was very high, over the legal limit,” the deputy coroner said. “It’s a sad situation.”
Eadie was driving a 2007 Dodge Magnum.
Keller said no other cars were involved in the wreck, which happened about three and a half miles west of Honea Path.
