Annapolis, MD : 1 killed in Truman Parkway car accident near Annapolis on Saturday, 8th February, 2020

An 84-year-old woman died Saturday when the car she was riding in drifted off Harry Truman Parkway and struck a tree, Anne Arundel County police said Sunday.
Officers responded at 9:20 p.m. to a single-vehicle crash. Annapolis resident Kamalaben Vinodchandra Doshi was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, Chaitanya Vinod Doshi, 65, of Annapolis, was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with non-life threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation indicated the cause of the crash was the driver’s failure to remain in a single lane while driving westbound on the parkway. Speed and alcohol are not believed to have been contributing factors in the crash.
