Providence , RI : Woman survives serious crash with just minor injuries on Saturday October 1 2016
A woman's car slid off the road in Portsmouth early Saturday morning, and despite the severity of the accident, she walked away with minor injuries.
The woman tells the Portsmouth Fire Department that her vehicle hydroplaned and she lost control before striking a tree alongside Route 24 southbound, at Boyd's Lane, around 5:53 A.M.
Upon arrival, officials found the car wrapped around the tree, and were surprised that the woman had removed herself from the vehicle, and was walking on her own.
She was transported to Newport Hospital with minor injuries.
Officials confirm that the rainy weather conditions were a factor of the crash.
