An Arkansas man was killed and two people were hurt in a head-on collision early Friday near Hot Springs, state police said.

According to a preliminary crash report, 52-year-old Roger Alred of Hot Springs was driving north in the 500 block of Fox Pass Cutoff when he crossed the road's centerline around 5:40 a.m. His 2002 Chevrolet hit a 1996 Chrysler that had been traveling south head-on, the report states.
