WICHITA, KS : 1 seriously injured after fiery semi crash on Thursday, 21st September 2023

The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) confirmed a white pickup truck heading north on Greenwich and a semi truck heading west on K-254 collided after the truck failed to yield at the stop sign.

KHP said the semi went into the ditch and caught fire.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital for their injuries. KHP said the driver of the semi is being treated for burns due to the fire.

A pedestrian is being credited for helping the semi driver get out of the vehicle and to safety, prior to emergency personnel arriving on-scene.
