Topeka, KS : Driver dies, crashes car near KU Med on Sunday, December, 10th 2017

The driver of a car that crashed near the University of Kansas Medical Center Sunday night was apparently dead or dying before the crash, police said.

The car was rolling out of control about 7 p.m. and went over the curb near Cambridge Street and West 39th Avenue, which is about a block from the emergency room entrance of the hospital.

The cause of death is unknown, but police say the crash did not appear severe enough to have caused fatal injuries. No other vehicles were involved.
