St.Louis County , MO :Woman killed, man injured in single-car crash on I-270 in St. Louis County on Saturday , June 13th 2015

A single-car crash claimed the life of a woman and seriously injured a man on Interstate 270 at Gravois Road early Saturday.Hafdis A. James, 32, of St. Louis, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident that happened about 12:15 a.m. southbound on Interstate 270, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.Police said James driving a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier with a passenger, Robert L. Hopkins, 47, of St. Louis. James attempted to pass another vehicle, lost control and traveled off the right side of the road, authorities said. The car struck a guardrail and James was ejected. Hopkins was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
