Greenwich Township, PA : Berks man killed in a single-car wreck on Old Route 22 in Berks County early Saturday, May 21, 2016

A 23-year-old Berks County man died early Saturday in a single-car wreck on Old Route 22, according to state police at Hamburg.

Phillip James Snyder, of Koffee Lane in Kutztown, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which happened around 3 a.m. just east of Saddle Road.

Snyder was a passenger in a car driven by Whitney Lynne Bechtel, 22, also of Koffee Lane. She sustained moderate injuries when her eastbound car went off the road and hit a tree, according to police.
