Clarksville, TN : One person killed and another injured in a single vehicle crash on Saturday October 29th 2016
One person was killed and another injured in a single vehicle crash on Tiny Town Road near Green Acres Drive early Saturday morning.
The driver, Darryl H. Shuler, 24, of Clarksville died and a passenger, Maurquel McCottry, 19, was seriously injured, according to a release from Clarksville Police Lt. Steve Warren. The 2014 Chevrolet Camaro left the roadway on a curve on Tiny Town Road, struck a mailbox and a tree just after midnight. First responders were dispatched at 12:08 a.m. Police shut down Tiny Town Road for several hours as they investigated and cleared the scene.
McCottry was transported to Tennova Hospital before being sent to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in stable condition. Shuler was found dead at the scene, according to officials.
Speed, alcohol, and controlled substances are being considered as contributing factors. Investigator Bill Van Beber is working the incident. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to contact Officer Van Beber at 931-648-0656, ext. 5486.
