MACEDONIA, OH : Fiery crash closes State Route 8 in Summit County on Friday, 26th January 2024

A driver of a tanker truck is dead following a fiery crash on State Route 8 in Summit County.

The Summit County Sheriff's Office says that the crash happened at around 9:15 a.m. at the ramp to Interstate 271 north in Northfield Center Township.

After an initial investigation, deputies determined a tanker truck had been traveling northbound on State Route 8 and attempted to get on I-271 north when the truck lost control and went over the side of the bridge.
