Jefferson City, MO : 8-year-old boy was killed in an ATV crash in Lewis County on Saturday, August 12, 2017

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports an 8-year-old boy was killed in an ATV crash in Lewis County, MO.
On Saturday afternoon, officials responded to Maple Street, about four miles southwest of Durham.
A Macon County boy made a sharp left turn causing the ATV to overturn on top of him.
A crash report says he was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
He was taken to Blessing Hospital by Lewis County Ambulance and was pronounced dead by Dr. Antony Wollaston.
The Lewis County Sheriff's Office, Lewis County Fire and Rescue and Durham Fire and Rescue assisted in the incident.
