Aliceville, AL : Carrollton man dies in wreck in Pickens County on Saturday morning, August 20, 2016

A Carrollton man died in a Saturday morning crash in Pickens County, according to state troopers.

David Vincent Hughes, 53, died around 12:04 a.m. when his Honda Accord left the road, struck two trees and caught fire.

Hughes was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say speed may have been a factor in the crash, which occurred on Martin Luther King Jr. Road about five miles east of Aliceville.

Troopers are continuing to investigate the crash.
