RINGGOLD, LA : 7-year-old killed in Bienville Parish crash on Saturday, 24th February 2024

A 7-year-old boy was killed Saturday when he was struck by a vehicle while playing in a parking lot.

Authorities said the crash happened shortly after 11:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of School St. Kaiden Coke was reportedly playing with a ball in a private parking lot where a 2011 Dodge Ram was backed into a parking space.

The Louisiana State Police said the driver was already in the Dodge and about to leave when Kaiden lost his ball, which rolled under the truck. Then Kaiden crawled underneath the Dodge to retrieve his ball.
