Tallahassee, FL : Bicyclist dies after crash with SUV on Dog Track Road on Saturday, 25th April, 2020

A bicyclist died Saturday evening after she was struck by an SUV on Dog Track Road.

At about 7:40 p.m., a 35-year-old woman was driving an SUV north on Dog Track Road approaching Blue Angel Parkway as the bicyclist was traveling north along the east shoulder of the road, according to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The bicyclist attempted to cross Dog Track Road as the SUV was passing by and was struck by the vehicle after entering its path, according to FHP.

The bicyclist, a 41-year-old Pensacola woman, was transported via LifeFlight to Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital, where she died due to her injuries.
