Phoenix, AZ : Anthony Vargas dead in hit-and-run crash in Phoenix on Sunday night, April 12, 2015

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office suspects a hit-and-run driver killed a man in the West Valley north of Luke Air Force Base.

Anthony Vargas was found dead in the southbound lane of Sarival Road north of Olive Avenue Sunday night around midnight.

The Sheriff's Office said evidence at the scene and Vargas' injuries are consistent with a hit-and-run. Officials said the collision would have left little to no damage on the vehicle.

No vehicle description is available and authorities are seeking the public's help with information about the incident.
