Pittsburgh, PA : One dead, four others injured in accident that closed 10th Street Bypass on Saturday, 12th May 2018

A man died and four other people were injured, including three children, in a three-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon that forced authorities to shut down the 10th Street Bypass for several hours.

The accident occurred about 4:50 p.m. near the area of the bypass that goes under the Roberto Clemente Bridge.

Pittsburgh police spokesman Chris Togneri said witnesses told investigators that the chain of events that led to the crash started when a black SUV headed in the direction of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center somehow lost control.
