Albany, NY : Schoharie County man dies in crash on Tuesday, February 7th 2017
Unsafe speed and poor conditions are the apparent reasons for an accident on Ragan Road in the town that led to the death of an Esperance man, State Police said Wednesday.
At 6:35 p.m. Tuesday, Schoharie County 911 sent State Police units to the crash. They found the vehicle off the east shoulder of the road, down an approximate 50-foot ravine.
Esperance and Central Bridge Fire Departments as well as the Schoharie County Search and Rescue team responded.
The driver, Frank Consalvo, 56, was killed.
The investigation is ongoing but it appears as though unsafe speed and slippery road conditions led to the accident, troopers said.
