Mequon, WI : One killed, one injured in two-vehicle crash on North Cedarburg Road in Mequon on Monday afternoon, August 11, 2014

A 51-year-old Milwaukee man was killed in wreck late Monday afternoon in Mequon. At 4:46 p.m., Mequon police was called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash in the 10100 block of North Cedarburg Road. Upon arrival, officers determined that a northbound vehicle had crossed the center line and struck a southbound vehicle head-on. Mequon Fire and Rescue squads responded and transported the driver of the southbound vehicle, a 29-year-old Milwaukee woman, to the hospital. The driver of the northbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The Ozaukee County Accident Reconstruction Team responded to the scene to assist in the investigation. According to investigators, alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. The identity of the crash victims is pending the notification of relatives.
